Billwright: Invoice & Quote Manager

Billwright is a self-hosted invoice and quote manager for freelancers and small studios. Install it on any PHP 8 host, run the web installer, and start billing from your own domain.

What it does

Create quotes and turn them into invoices in one click
Line items with a tax rate per line, a discount and live totals (all maths in whole cents)
Send clients a private link to view, print, download the PDF and accept or decline quotes, no account needed
Record full or partial payments; invoices move to Part paid, Paid or Overdue on their own
A4 PDF invoices from a built-in generator, with your details, accent colour and a status stamp
An overview of what you are owed, what is overdue and what came in each month
Client balances, search, filters and CSV export
Light and dark mode, works on phones from 320px

Under the hood

PHP 8 with PDO, MySQL/MariaDB or SQLite, vanilla JavaScript and CSS. Prepared statements, password hashing, CSRF tokens, escaped output and login rate limiting. No frameworks and no CDNs.

In the download

The script with a web installer and optional demo data, HTML documentation with cPanel and Hostinger steps, README, changelog and licence. The PDF uses built-in Helvetica, so PDFs print Latin text; other scripts show on screen.
